YouTube vai remover conteúdos discriminatórios e promotores de ódioYouTube will remove hateful content and hate speech

The video streaming company says it is now more difficult to host such content on their network, but wants to completely remove any content with that kind of offense.
"We specifically prohibit videos that affirm the superiority of a group, to justify discrimination, segregation or exclusion based on criteria such as age, sex, race, caste, religion or sexual orientation," the company officials said.
In an article published today on Google's subsidiary company blog, it is announced that the rules take effect immediately, but that "it will take some time for the system to update itself."
YouTube officials specifically refer videos that "promote or glorify Nazi ideology, which is inherently discriminatory," as an example of content to be removed.
Likewise, videos that "deny the existence of violent events whose reality is proven, such as the holocaust, will be removed," adds the text in the blog.
Like other social networks, YouTube has been criticized for not doing enough to quickly remove content that defends hatred, violence or conspiracy theories.
"However, we recognize that this content can be valuable to researchers or organizations who want to study hate to better combat it," say those responsible, admitting they are exploring options for such situations.
YouTube also says that it will take into account the context of the images, to protect
Videos that "discuss topics such as passing laws" or "condemn or denounce hatred by providing an analysis of events."
The YouTube explains that the restrictions do not violate any law of freedom of expression and that will be extended to several countries throughout this year, anticipating that the measures will reduce by 50% the possibility of views of inappropriate content. Lusa Agency
