Presidente dos EUA, Donald Trump, durante sua visita oficial ao Japão, 27 de maio de 2019US to require social networking data for most visa applicants

The US Department of State will require almost all US visa applicants to submit social networking information such as usernames and email addresses.
Previously, only those applicants who needed additional verification, such as people who had visited or lived in countries controlled by terrorist groups, were required to provide this information.
"The US Department of State has updated its immigrant and nonimmigrant visa application forms to request additional information, including social media identifiers, from most US visa applicants," said a US State Department official .
The official added that the new requirement is a measure to improve security screening procedures that will protect US citizens against potential threats.
Only applicants for certain types of diplomatic and official visas will be exempted from the requirements.
The new application format, proposed in March 2018, came into effect on Friday (31) and should affect about 15 million foreigners applying for US visas annually.
Should false information be found about the social networks presented, the US State Department stated that "serious consequences" might be forthcoming.
Immigration is one of the top flags of President Bush's administration, Donald Trump. Since taking office, Trump has introduced measures that slowed the legal process of immigration, increased the cost of immigration, and limited access to immigration services in the country, among others.
One of the main controversies of the current White House administration revolves around the construction of a wall between the US and México. S. N.
