Spotify troubled with Apple Music

Spotify has filed a complaint with the European Commission alleging unfair competition against Apple, accusing the company of using the App Store to "be both a player and an arbitrator to deliberately put other application developers at a disadvantage."
In a blog post signed by the company's founder and CEO Daniel Ek, Spotify notes that Apple's 30 percent charge for in-app transactions forces services to raise prices. At this point, Spotify points to the premium price of its streaming service and Apple Music.
The complaint also extends to other alleged Apple practices such as blocking Spotify's access and other services to platforms such as the Siri wizard, the HomePod column, and even the Apple Watch watch.
"Consumers win and industry evolves when we are able to challenge each other on an equal footing. This is what merit competition is all about, "writes Ek at the end of the publication. Miguel Dias
