Huawei Ditches BOE And LG Over Samsung For Displays On The P30 Pro

The P30 is Huawei's upcoming flagship phone. The phone in question will be launched on the 26th of March in an event in Paris. The details of the device and its specifications are well known, all thanks to multiple leaks.
The P30 will also be accompanied by a superior version of the phone, the P30 Pro. There are also several leaks around the P30 Pro. The phone will rock to 6.47-inch 1080 x 2340 OLED screen, which makes it even larger than the screen on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Huawei will reportedly be ditching 3D camera technology in favor of a very high megapixel count for facial recognition. which is less secure. While on the backside of the phone, the Quad-camera setup will be found, which will feature a 40MP main sensor with an aperture of f / 1.6, this will lead to crisp night shots. We know that one of the sensors will be at 20MP f / 2.2 wide-angle sensor, however, that is all we know about the camera setup as of yet.

Another interesting point to note is that the display may have an earpiece in it. Much like the LG G8, the screen would vibrate to produce sound and act as a loudspeaker.

Samsung OLED Panels
Today, SamMobile reported that Huawei has contracted Samsung to manufacture the AMOLED panels for the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro. Previously Huawei had been contracting BOE and LG and to provide OLED panels for their phones.
Sammobile claims that the reason behind the move is unclear at the moment. However, it would not take a genius to find out why the switch was made. Samsung has the best AMOLED screens available on the market, furthermore, Samsung is also the largest OLED panel manufacturer and distributor. Previously, due to Huawei's high demand for OLED panels, multiple manufacturers had to be contracted. But since Samsung can easily meet Huawei's demand, only one manufacturer has to be used, making things simpler and more specialized.
