Galaxy Tab A (2019) Launched With Exynos 7904
Samsung today expanded its Android tablet portfolio with the introduction of Galaxy Tab A (2019). The latest Galaxy Tab A series Android tablet from Samsung is a budget-oriented model that comes with S Pen support and updated internals.
Budget Tablet
The new Samsung Galaxy Tab A uses an 8-inch 1920 x 1200 WUXGA resolution TFT LCD panel with S Pen support. This means you can use the tablet for note-taking as well as sketching on the go. To help protect your eyes from harmful blue light emitted by the display, the Galaxy Tab A (2019) features a blue light filter as well. The integrated S Pen weighs just 2.8 grams and comes with a flexible 0.7mm pen tip. The S Pen is IP68 rated for dust as well as water resistance.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A with S Pen runs on a 14nm Exynos 7904 octa-core processor, the same chipset that powers some of the brand's latest budget smartphones. Samsung has coupled the 14nm chipset on the Galaxy Tab A with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. For further expansion, the tablet comes with a microSD card slot. Like other budget-friendly Android tablets, the new Galaxy Tab A sports 8MP camera at the rear and a 5MP camera on the front. Unsurprisingly, the tablet does not include the fingerprint sensor and nor is there support for face unlock. Connectivity-wise, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, 4G LTE, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo. Keeping the lights on is 4200mAh capacity cell with claimed internet usage time of up to 11 hours.
When it comes to software, the tablet runs on Android 9 Pie-based One UI. It will be available in two color options: Gray and Black. The new Galaxy Tab will be sold in various markets across Asia Pacific as well as in the UK. Its price, however, has not been revealed yet. Tony Barrat
