Jogo online proibido leva a detenções de adolescentes na ÍndiaOnline game banned leads to arrests of teenagers in India

The Gujarat province of India has so far arrested at least 16 people for playing 'PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Mobile' (or 'PUBG Mobile'), an online game that was banned last week for being considered too addictive.
CNet says that the ban was enacted by Gujarat's own police commissioner Manoj Agrawal who, despite the manifest dislike of 'PUBG Mobile', did not extend it to similar games of the genre 'battle royale' as is the case of the popular 'Fortnite'.
In reaction, the producers responsible for 'PUBG Mobile' were said to be 'surprised' by the ban on gambling. "We are working to understand the legal basis for these bans and we hope to have a constructive dialogue with relevant authorities to explain our goals to lift the ban," the statement said.
