Pinterest has found an interesting way to combat misinformation

In a phase where social networks and digital platforms try to eliminate content responsible for disseminating disinformation at all costs, Pinterest may have been the platform that most closely approached a real solution.
Companies such as Facebook and Instagram have resorted to Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms and machine learning to mitigate the amount of misinformation on their platforms. Faced with more anti-vaccine campaigns than it could fight, Pinterest decided to block any terms related to the subject in its field of research.
Note that it is still possible to view these contents but, to do so, you should go directly to those who share them. The objective will not be to censor but to contribute to the problem of disinformation, at least until another method of dealing with the issue is created. Miguel Dias
