Uma das opções mais úteis do Waze está em riscoOne of Waze's most useful options is at risk.
The New York City Police Department has sent a court order to Google requiring the company to remove the Waze navigation app from the ability of users to signal the location of police forces.
CBS tells New York that police believe that functionality is a threat to road safety by allowing intoxicated drivers to avoid police forces and radars. Moreover, police say that anyone who points to police locations "may be having a criminal conduct."
In response, Google has ensured that road safety is a top priority for the company and says that the purpose of the Waze app's functionality is "to inform drivers of radars they can find on the way to make them more cautious and make the most secure decisions how much they are on the roads".
