If you have a constant need for more storage space on your smartphone, tablet or camera, the next generation of microSD cards will be good news for you.
SanDisk (owned by WesternDigital) and Micron announced new microSD cards with 1TB of capacity on the opening day of the Mobile World Congress. While Western Digital points out that its card will have a read speed of 160MB / s, Micron predicts that it will stay at 100MB / s.
However, The Verge notes that the recording speed of Micron's proposal will be slightly higher, reaching 95MB / s versus the 90MB / s WesternDigital card.
Western Digital's microSD card will be available from April for $ 449.99, and Micron has yet to provide details unless the release is scheduled for the second quarter. Miguel Dias
