HUAWEI

Brand 'responds' to Samsung by announcing its own foldable smartphone

Just four days after Samsung introduced its first foldable smartphone in the form of the Galaxy Fold, Huawei gave an 'answer' to the height when presenting a device for the same category. It's called Mate X and, as you can see from the images above, it has everything to impress.
The Mate X was presented by CEO Richard Yu at an Huawei event in Barcelona, where the Mobile World Congress will begin today. When folded, the Mate X has a 6.6-inch front screen and a 6.38-inch rear screen. But when it's open, the device has an 8-inch screen, which makes it even bigger than the Galaxy Fold, which is 'only' 7.3 inches.
On a performance level, the Huawei Mate X features a proprietary Kirin 980 processor with a Balong 5000 5G modem, which makes the device compatible with this type of networking. It also has 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, and Huawei equipped this Mate X with a 4.500mAh battery with the fastest ever 55W charging. He tells Huawei that thanks to this technology will be able to charge 85% of the battery in just 30 minutes.
On the cameras included in the Mate X, the only thing confirmed so far by Huawei is the rear face will have a triple camera certified by Leica. Although details are not known, it is expected that this partnership will continue to 'play' for Huawei in this department.
About release date and price, says the Business Insider that the Huawei Mate X will be released soon and will be accompanied by a price of 2,299 euros. Miguel Dias
