CES 2019: Samsung takes hitchhiking from NVidia and features portable gaming
During the CES this week in Las Vegas, NVidia introduced its new graphics processor for laptops, an adaptation of the series RTX 20, revealing that about 40 manufacturers were already updating their devices. Between Asus, Alienware and Razor, Samsung also unveiled its proposal, the Odyssey with NVidia's new GPU.
Samsung is not well-known for its gaming-focused laptops, but Odyssey is yet another attempt by the manufacturer to make a stand. The notebook features a 15.6-inch screen attached to the chassis through a single central hinge, in a less conventional design.
For now, according to Engadget, this model will only have a screen with a resolution of 1080p, at 144 Hz, supported by GSYNC. In addition to the NVidia RTX 2080 graphics, it features Intel's eighth-generation i7 processor, configurations up to 16 GB of RAM, supporting two NVMe SSDs and a 2.5-inch portable disk. The laptop will have three USB 3.0 ports, one USB-C, one HMDI and network.
There is still no advanced release date or prices, but it is expected to arrive in the coming months, along with its rivals. Sapo
