APPLE
Company ready to drop LCD screens by 2020?
This will be the last year that Apple will launch an iPhone with LCD screen, says the Wall Street Journal pointing out that the successor to the iPhone Xr will continue to integrate such a screen. Already the other two models should follow the iPhone Xs / Xs Max in the adoption of an OLED screen.
It is therefore from 2020 that Apple intends to launch only iPhones with OLED screens, a decision that will pave the way for a "mobile phone with a more flexible design".
Remember that the iPhone Xr caused some production problems to Apple, namely the fact of having a reduced screen frame and LCD screen.
It is then possible that Apple is preparing an alignment of iPhones for 2020 with a more ambitious design. Given that this was a year of more conservative design with regard to design, it is possible that next year's models will be more bold. Miguel Dias
