These Are Netflix's Most-Binged Shows and Movies of 2018
Netflix famously refuses to release its viewership numbers, but once a year the video-streaming service throws us a bone and unveils its most popular original programming.
This year's list runs the top movies and shows on Netflix in 2018, along with a list of "the stars we fell in love with this year." That list actually does not include any Netflix metrics; it ranks talent who appeared in a Netflix film or series by the largest percentage growth they received in Instagram followers since January.
On the original movie front, rom-coms dominated. Netflix ranked films on the list by overall viewing, but by the highest rewatch rate between Jan. 1 and Nov. 28, 2018. The top most re-watched original Netflix movie was Kissing Booth, followed by smash high-school romance hit To All the Boys I've Loved Before. In third is 1980s coming-of-age rap drama Roxanne Roxanne.

The list is rounded out by several stars of The Paper House, comedian Hannah Gadsby from her breakout stand-up special Nanette, and Sally Draper herself, Kiernan Shipka of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Finally, there are the shows. Once again, Netflix did not rank them by overall viewing. Instead, the original series is ranked by the highest average watch time per viewing session, based on US Netflix viewing data:
