The American giant has found a solution to circumvent prohibition of selling iPhones in China
Apple says it has set a way to bypass the sales suspension of some of its nPlaneado iPhone models by early next week, the release of the update is intended to address the issues that led the Chinese courts to consider the iPhone 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus and X violate Qualcomm's patents, Apple said in statements to Reuters.
The Chinese court's decision banning the importation and sale of the models follows a complaint by Qualcomm relating to two patents and is allegedly based on infringement of technology related to image resizing and application management.
When the ban was first announced, Apple will have come to state that iOS 12 - the latest version of its mobile operating system - does not disrespect these patents. To be true, launching software that forces the affected iPhone models to upgrade to iOS 12 may be enough to reverse the decision.
Note that Apple immediately appealed the ruling at the time it was issued, ensuring that their smartphones continued to be sold in the meantime.
On whether the decision will actually be reversed, there are some (many?) Doubts, since Qualcomm decided to add to the complaint the recent iPhone XS and XR, which bring iOS 12 pre-installed - such a version of the operating system that Apple guarantees not to infringe the patents of the manufacturer of processors ...
