APPLE

El iPhone del futuro podría doblarse
Next iPhone could be foldable

A new patent has been granted to Apple related to screens capable of bending. It would be the second of its kind to be awarded to the company, the first in November 2016.The two patents describe portable devices with screens that are capable of folding, aligned with rumors published in the past that ensure that Apple is working together with LG - and thus avoid filtering Samsung - on devices of this type. The one of November of 2016 describes a device with electronic screen multitáctil able to open and closed "like a book". The second and most recent patent refers to the mechanisms - the visagra - to open and close it.Old smartphones capable of folding use two separate screens, in Apple's case it would be a single flexible panel. If a product of this type were to be made, it would allow it to be small in the pocket, but capable of opening into something larger than, say, seven inches, which would allow more uses and more work area.Another rumor published months ago by Mark Gurman, who has an impeccable reputation when talking about future products of the company, mentioned a curved screen, which by definition means that it is flexible, but not that it was doubled, though assured, of reaching the consumer hands would be no sooner than 2019.Another rumor published months ago by Mark Gurman, who has an impeccable reputation when talking about future products of the company, mentioned a curved screen, which by definition means that it is flexible, but not that it was doubled, though assured, of reaching the consumer hands would be no sooner than 2019.

That said, we must always keep in mind that the fact that Apple patent a new technology or innovation, does not ensure that it will become a product that we will see in the future. We may see an iPhone double in a few years, but these patents are no guarantee that it will happen.
