First flying car starts to be sold in October
The Transition, which has a two-passenger capacity, needs a runway and landing runway, like conventional airplanes, but can turn into a land vehicle in just one minute, according to Xinhua's official Chinese news agency. In an early stage, the flying car will only be available in the North American market. The agency does not detail the cost of production or selling price.Geely officials have revealed that the goal is to compete with the use of airplanes by companies, governments and transportation companies.Terrafugia's advisor Chris Jaran has announced that he will present the company's next project, the TF-2 flying vehicle, which will be able to take off and land vertically, something that Transition is not fit for.Terrafugia was founded in 2006 by five former students of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).Geely employs more than 60,000 workers globally and sold more than 1.3 million vehicles in 2016. The company owns the Swedish car brand Volvo.
