Antutu: Devices with eight cores and 1080p resolution are preferred by Android users
After showing the top 10 of the best Android smartphones of the month of August, the Chinese tool decided to try to understand what these users are looking for in their equipment.Regarding the screen resolution, the preferences of almost a quarter of users (24.37%) fall on smartphones that support Full HD (1080x1920). Here are the devices with the so-called FHD + screens, equivalent to 2160 x 1080 pixels, which reaches 17.19%. However, the largest share of users uses Android devices with resolutions below HD (31.36%).Research on the Chinese platform shows that when it comes to choosing a smartphone, size also matters, so 14.61% of users prefer 6-inch displays, followed by 5.5-inch devices. The podium is shut down by smartphones with 6.2 inches (11.45%).When it comes to the processor, 73.8% of Android users worldwide have smartphones powered by eight cores and 21.9% have quad-core processors.
Already at memory level, the vast majority of Android users (36.51%) have smartphones with 6GB of RAM while 31.7% have models equipped with only 4GB. The remaining 31.79% are distributed among the devices with 3GB (13.58%), 8GB (7.47%), and 2GB (7.35%).
The main trend in the preferred storage capacity of Android users is the 64GB, with a representation of 41.13%. About a quarter (24.64%) use devices with a storage of 128GB and, thirdly, the 32GB of memory have 16.04% of the preferences. The analysis shows that few choose 256GB (2.45%) of memory.
Finally, the operating system that brings more fans is Android Oreo (versions 8.0 and 8.1), with 61.4%. According to the data collected, devices with Android Nougat (7.0, 7.1.1 and 7.1.2) occupy a slice 24.7%. Smartphones with versions prior to these two add up to 14.53%.
