One in four Americans deleted Facebook from their mobile phone
The results of a Pew Research Center study show that a large percentage of citizens in the United States "slowed down" in their relationship with Facebook last year, with 26 percent effectively terminating relationships with the mobile version by uninstalling the mobile app.
The decision was more common in the lower age brackets, with 44% of users between 18 and 29 years of age and only 12% of users over 65 years of age.
Most Americans surveyed also reported having tampered with the privacy settings of their accounts over the past year from public to private (54 percent). Here too young people are more "radical": 64% between 18 and 29 years of age versus the close to 33% among those over 65%.
