Company to sell 5G equipment to T-Mobile for 3 billion euros
Nokia and T-Mobile have announced a $ 3.5 billion partnership in which the Finnish company will provide 5G hardware, software and service for the US carrier to build its 5G network.
Using Nokia equipment, T-Mobile will be able to provide broader coverage in the 600-MHz spectrum and ultra-fast speeds capability in the 28-gigahertz waves in areas of higher traffic, Reuters reports.
With the evolution of communications networks for the 5G to be an ever closer reality, this business is a breath of fresh air for Nokia which in the first half of the year saw a 64% fall in profits.
T-Mobile plans to create the first national 5G service network in the US, where it is the third-largest telecommunications operator in the United States behind Verizon and AT & T.
