Autoridades chinesas terão armas de raios laser
Chinese authorities to have laser weapons

China is developing an AK-47 laser beam that is capable of burning clothes and skin from suspects and criminals. The weapon, known as ZKZM-500, is being developed for the country's anti-terrorist forces.
The South China Morning Post tells that the weapons are in the non-lethal category and can be effective about 800 meters away. The ZKZM-500 weighs three kilos and has a caliber of 15 millimeters. The gun appears to be ready to go into mass production, with the company responsible not yet having found a partner for this phase.
The Chinese government has spared no means to strengthen its security forces. In addition to this laser gun, China has also equipped authorities with face recognition goggles and integrated that same technology into cameras in subway systems and even drones.
