5G: Green light to boot with wireless connections created from root
The standardization rules to be applied in the 5G wireless networks, with regard to the "standalone" infrastructure, have already been defined. The good news was transmitted by 3GPP, an initiative that aggregates the main entities related to telecommunications. With this standard, which defines the standard radio wave for 5G connections, it is now possible to start officially with the new generation of wireless networks. To reinforce that this agreement is aimed at the autonomous versions of the 5G network, ie the creation of the definitive infrastructure without the use of existing LTE networks. The rules for 5G based on existing networks had already been stipulated in December last year. In practice, through the new protocol it is already possible to create independent 5G structures in places where there was no iA 3GPP is a group formed by hundreds of companies connected to telecommunications, from operators, networks, terminals, manufacturers and internet companies, which aims to establish the standards of 5G infrastructure. Erik Guttman, the president of 3GPP, said that this step completes Level 3 of the stand-alone 5G implementation after three years of intense work involving hundreds of engineers. But there is still work ahead, with several refinements yet to be introduced in the coming months. This normalization is awaited with great anxiety by the companies and consumers that anticipate this jump of generation of wireless internet. Earlier this year Altice and Huawei teamed up to accelerate 5G in Portugal and anticipate the possibility for Portuguese companies to develop new business models and services based on the new generation of the network.
