Intel wants laptop battery to last 28 hours
Battery life is an ever-present issue when buying a laptop and a recurring problem with its manufacturers. But Intel believes it has found a solution with its new display technology, the Low Power Display Technology.
Cnet says that this technology consumes only 1 watt of power, which allows the battery of a standard laptop to reach 28 hours with normal use. Note that this autonomy should only be achieved under certain conditions, namely with 150 nits of light and headphones instead of speakers.
The technology was announced by Intel during the Computex event and is part of a joint collaboration between Sharp and Innolux. It should also be noted that in order to function, the computer must make use of Intel's chips and not the competition.
