Tupperware connected to a smarter kitchen
If you are still not convinced that artificial intelligence is about to dominate all sectors of your personal and professional life, here is another test.Once you have arrived at smartphones, televisions, refrigerators, cars, washing machines and other equipment that can be connected to the internet, Alexa will now take your potential to a set of Tupperware that can be paired with your smartphone to give you information about the state of your food. The Ovie Smarterware accessory line contains a small electronic label, which should be placed inside the Tupperware, a food bag spring and a universal connector that can be used in other types of containers. After activating the device, you must either manually enter the food that the connector is accompanying in the respective application or communicate it orally to Alexa so that the system can update its status. In addition, to allow communication between all these components, it is necessary to connect another appliance to the socket.
In addition to the notifications, the labels also integrate a system of lights that change color according to the state of the food. Green indicates that the food is fresh and fit for consumption, yellow means that it is about to expire, and red means that the deadline has been exceeded.
The app serves to keep all this information in order and can still be used to suggest a set of revenue appropriate to the stock it holds.
Ovie Smartware is currently under funding on the crowdfunding Kickstarter platform. To secure a set of three SmartTags and one Ovie Hub, you'll need to invest at least $ 60 in the project. The first orders are due in February next year.
