BLOGGER STILL LIVES
Do you remember Blogger, that Google service that allowed you to create a blog for free and still offered a toast subdomain in the blogspot.com directory? Well, he's still alive and operating. Of course, it is quite possible that the Search Giant has reduced its structure to a team of two people, but it is still curious to know that the platform is still in the air. And, guess what - it has just gained some new features (though it has lost several classic features). The new features are sure to make you feel like coming back to the service: multiple account support (wow!), Google+ integration widgets in HTML, and infrastructure hosted on Cloud Spanner, a Google cloud computing service. And ... Well, that's it. The company also promised a video management tool for the near future, but did not give a specific date for this innovative feature to air.On the other hand, the company did a clean on Blogger: removed third-party widget support (goodbye, SocialFeed!), Deleted the "Next Blog" section and will soon close support for OpenID and TextCube. Since most blogs today are managed on more modern platforms (including Wordpress and Squarespace), it is unlikely that the service will have enough users to care about such changes.
