Realidade virtual pronta para ajudar a reparar aviões
Virtual reality ready to help build airplanes
During the Berlin International Airshow - ILA Show, which runs until April 29, ISQ has unveiled a prototype of a virtual reality mobile device developed for the aeronautics sector. The solution is the result of the international AIRMES (Airline Maintenance Operations implementation) project, in a joint effort of several partners.According to the statement, the device intends to optimize maintenance work and reduce the time that technicians lose looking for specific documentation. The solution aims to increase the effectiveness of interventions, reduce costs, and above all reduce the likelihood of human error.

The project is part of the European Clean Sky 2 industrial research and technological development program. This partnership between the European Commission and the European aeronautics sector aims to integrate advanced technologies into aircraft, demonstrate innovative configurations, and seek changes in environmental and economic performance.
The ISQ says that the technologies developed by the consortium will enable future aircraft to reduce fuel consumption by 20-30%, and the same percentage in reducing carbon dioxide emissions and noise levels.Statistics show that in Europe, 5.8% of flights are delayed due to technical reasons related directly to aircraft, creating a domino effect on subsequent flights. These disruptions are estimated at € 2.8 billion in cost to businesses. According to ISQ, the AIRMES project will create a global benefit in the sector of about 1,000 million euros.
