Campaign online wants to end Vero, the social network of the moment
If you have been listening to the news of digital platforms then you are likely to have heard of Vero, a social network that many are pointing to as the successor to Instagram. The 'migration' of several users of the social network app owned by Facebook to Vero indicates well the degree of success of this new platform. However, this popularity also resulted in the #DeleteVero campaign. The reason is one of Vero's founders, Ayman Hariri, or more accurately from his previous experience as an executive at Saudi Oger. He tells Reuters that it was in 2017 that Hariri shut down the company and abandoned thousands of migrant workers at a camp in the middle of the desert without conditions with late payments.

Well... Vero was Cool for a quick minute. Then I found out that the CEO is a scumbag and screwed over 9,000 Filipinos. Pair that with a shady user agreement and I’m out!

You're conveniently leaving out the fact that anyone joining after the million WILL be charged.
Oh, and you're leaving out the fact that whatever we post suddenly "isn't our content" anymore. pic.twitter.com/8v1tJFTNSK

After reading a few articles & learning the shady past of the CEO of Vero I have just officially 'requested' to delete my Vero account. That's right u must 'request' to have your account deleted... let's see how long this takes 😒 yay for jumping on band wagons without research

The case has led several Twitter users to criticize Hariri on social networks, and while some are asking for explanations, others want the application to be sabotaged by the way the platform's founder managed the situation.
