Acer launches the first Chrome OS tablet on the market
After a few hybrids, Acer is the first company to bet on Chrome OS as a tablet operating system. The Chromebook Tab 10, as it is called, features a 9.7-inch display and was designed with the youngest in mind, since the target audience is schools. This is why the specification list does not place this equipment at the top of the segment. Inside, the tablet hides a 4GB RAM, an internal memory (expandable by microSD) of 32GB and a processor of six colors Rockship OP1. The front camera has 2MP, while the rear camera reaches 5MP. To this is added a USB-C port that has the capacity to load other devices. The main attraction of this equipment, however, lies not in electronics, but in software. Chrome OS guarantees superior security to Android, for example, given its closed-off logic, much in the style of what happens on competing Apple systems. Note, however, that this OS also allows you to download and manage apps from the Play Store, just like on Android. The tablet will arrive in Europe in May, with a base price of 329 euros. To complete the set, there will also be a digital pen that can be used to draw and draw notes.
