SPACE X

They say that one of Elon Musk's rockets was "downed" but SpaceX has already denied
There are rumors circulating that Falcon 9 used in a launch made on Jan. 31 will have been "bombed" by the US Air Force, something SpaceX has already denied and categorizes as "categorically false."He tells CNET that the rumors started as soon as the euphoria around the launch of the Falcon Heavy superfogueton began to slow down, supported on some "loose ends".The mission of sending the GovSat-1 satellite into space did not imply rocket recovery, but would test a new "landing" maneuver, which would happen on the high seas, but without the platform that is usually associated with it .After delivering the satellite, the ultimate goal was to test a new form of re-entry, so the rocket was not expected to survive the experience, but surprisingly it looks like it did and Falcon 9 eventually floated into the Atlantic Ocean. Elon Musk broke the news on Twitter and said they would try to bring the device ashore.

This rocket was meant to test very high retrothrust landing in water so it didn’t hurt the droneship, but amazingly it has survived. We will try to tow it back to shore.

But in the meantime rumors have begun that the rocket will have been "detonated" by the Air Force to the bottom of the ocean. Speaking to CNET, SpaceX was peremptory in stating that the reports "are categorically false."
