Airbus flying electric vehicle passed the first test

The development of the Airbus flying electric vehicle seems to be going well, with eVTOL having successfully completed its first flight test. The Verge says the vehicle was able to reach a height of five meters, and then returned to the ground safely.
The goal of Airbus is eventually to create a fleet of electric vehicles flying with the ability to move independently. However, before this is possible, further tests will have to be conducted and the need to create the necessary regulations be taken into account.
"Our goal is to democratize personal flights by balancing the latest technologies such as electric propulsion, energy storage and machine vision," read the Airbus blog post.
