US to create 5G connection to protect against Chinese threat

The United States plans to create the next generation of 5G mobile telecommunication to protect itself from the threat from China.A group of national security officials from the administration of US President Donald Trump plans to devise 5G mobile telecommunication to avoid Chinese threats, the Axios edition reports, citing available official documents."Officials ... are considering an unprecedented seizure option on the part of the national mobile network for protection against China," the edit reveals. In particular, in the next six to eight months the possibilities of distinguishing funds for the project will be examined.Such a need has arisen due to the main positions that China occupies today regarding the production and operation of telecommunications infrastructure. The documents also highlight that China "has become a dangerous agent in the information sphere".According to the edition, there are only two scenarios for developing the new type of connection: the government will create a single national network or allow private providers to create their own 5G mobile telecommunication networks. However, experts in this area warn that "the reverse" of this project will be the government's "aggressive interference" in the market where private suppliers operate. They assume that if the first option is chosen, "it will violate the plans of the largest technology and telecommunications companies."
