Venda de smartphones na China cai pela primeira vez desde 2009
Smartphone sales in China fell for the first time since 2009
China has for years been one of the markets that most contributed to the growth in smartphone sales. But now the Chinese market seems to be breaking. Last year saw the first decline in smartphone sales since 2009.Canalys data confirms the signals that were revealed during 2017, with a decline that had already occurred in the second quarter. Sales of smartphones dropped 4 percent last year compared to the same period last year, with 459 million devices sold. Now Chinese brands are starting to bet even more on foreign markets. If Huawei continues to grow impressively with sales of 24 million smartphones in the fourth quarter of last year, brands like Xiaomi are betting on the appetizing Indian market, but also on Spanish, Russian and Mexican markets. On the other hand, the US market has been more difficult for the Chinese brand, which has not yet been able to convince consumers.
