TCL’s smartphone presents itself as an object that looks like paper

Perhaps the most interesting smartphone at this year’s IFA exhibition was a low-mid range model, manufactured by TCL, which is not so patina.

Ever since half the world has been staring at smartphone displays every day, there has been a real need for a solution that gives the eye (and the brain) the feeling of reading paper. eInk displays are the closest to this, but the technology has not yet spread to smartphones, for good reason.

Three years ago, TCL idestova presented its first concept called NXTPAPER at the then IFA, from which a tablet was born, and now the first two smartphones belonging to this series can be launched on the market.

The renaissance of security professions is not brought about by the EU, but by pain This is NIS2, the cyber security directive of the European Union. In the recent kraftie broadcast, we talked about whether the security profession will become more valuable as a result.

The concept blows your mind with two clever tricks: on the one hand, the display surface is not glossy, but matte, and on the other hand, the panel is still LCD, but it is calibrated to emit much less blue light than average, theoretically making it less tiring for the eyes. long-term reading.

Regardless, the NXTPAPER 40 and NXTPAPER 40 5G models represent a rather strange duality, as the otherwise more expensive 5G model, in addition to 5G capability and a more advanced system processor, was equipped with a smaller display in both size and resolution compared to its sibling (6.6 inches @720p vs. 6.78 inches @1080p), in addition, the 5G model only got 6 GB of system memory instead of 8 for some reason.

The two new products will debut in Europe at a suggested retail price of 199 and 249 euros – the 4G model can be purchased from September, the 5G variant from October.
