Google has finally unveiled a publicly available beta version of Android 14

Google finally presented a publicly available beta version of the Android 14 operating system. Before that, two developer previews were already released, but now everyone will be able to evaluate the new operating system.

So far, some notable changes have been reported. Thus, the "Back" arrow in applications has become more visible and convenient and corresponds to the concept of Material You design. At the same time, it adapts to the colorful design of themes and wallpapers. Additionally, users can better understand the mechanics of "predictive gestures", which provide a preview of the screen they plan to go to in the app using the arrow.

The "Share" menu has also changed slightly - the corresponding panel opens when the user intends to send content to someone. The new menu provides a better interaction experience with the operating system. For example, developers have the ability to add actions at the top of the corresponding menu for apps where they can share content.

Also, Android 14 is known to have added new data protection features. According to Google, the new mechanisms will help the most vulnerable groups, including people with physical disabilities, to protect themselves from accidental transfers of funds and other incidents. In addition, there are expanded language settings, allowing developers to optimize language selection for individual applications.

You can get the new operating system from the developer's website at the link below, and the operating system is compatible with Pixel smartphones starting with 4th to 5G for now.
