Concept watchOS 10
What could make an Apple Watch decidedly more appealing? A more complete and interactive operating system, like the one shown by Parker Ortolani in his watchOS 10 concept, a project that gives life to a wide range of desires and new functions for the Cupertino smartwatch.
Widgets, live activity and customizable home screen – these are the three main points of the concept which could meet all our needs in terms of interaction with Apple Watch. Let’s find out better!
Have at your disposal widget on the Apple Watch Home screen it could be extremely convenient, perhaps to obtain a series of in-depth information which, due to space issues, cannot be consulted via the watchface. It is the case of forecast (and not just the current weather) or a more complete view of the day’s reminders or calendar appointments. Furthermore, having interactive widgets available could be very useful for managing more and more operations on the smartwatch, through shortcuts, and being able to leave the iPhone more and more in your pocket.

Customizable Home screen...Closely related to the issue of widgets, the customizable Home screen could – finally – only highlight the applications of our interest and leave all the others less used and consulted in another list. Creating a mix between widgets and applications, as is already the case on the iPhone, could be excellent if we consider the integration with Full Immersion. How many of us dream of being able to have personalized Home screens (not dials and watchfaces) that change according to the mode in use on other devices?
In our opinion, it would be very nice to be able to set different screens depending on the time of day, so as to have the most suitable applications at hand according to your needs, starting from work or study sessions up to training sessions and reading or mindfulness.

Live Activities...Introduced with iOS 16, Live Activities allow you to get real-time updates on a wide range of events, such as the status of a flight, the result of a match and even the time remaining on the parking ticket. Having them also available on Apple Watch could revolutionize the experience on the wrist, especially for users who use cellular models and who leave their iPhone at home for training or for walks.
And the dials? More wishes for watchOS 10?...Obviously, the concept shows many very interesting functions which, if well integrated with the already numerous watchfaces and complications available, can make an Apple Watch even more customizable. Being a concept, it is unlikely that the future watchOS 10 can integrate all these innovations but we sincerely hope to see as many features as possible. We hope that watchOS 10 can give a further boost to the Cupertino smartwatch which has improved with watchOS 9 but which we know can give even more.
