POLAROID

Described as an instant camera for a more “analog” life, the Polaroid Flip is the latest entry in the brand’s portfolio. The model maintains the “point-and-shoot” design of Polaroid’s classic cameras, but brings innovations to improve the photos captured.

The camera cover also has a flash system that automatically adjusts the light intensity, with a range of up to 4.5 m. To help take better photos, the Polaroid Flip analyzes the scene and, through the LED on the display, warns if the image may come out too bright or dark and if the subject being captured is too close.

The autofocus uses Polaroid’s proven sonar system. The camera has a front-facing speaker that emits sound waves to determine the distance of the subject from the lens. Because the sonar is independent of ambient lighting conditions, the autofocus system works even in complete darkness—a great opportunity to test out the powerful new flash.
The Polaroid Flip is already available, through the brand's website, for a price of 219.99 euros and officially hits stores on May 13.
