Galaxy S25 FE could use the same processor from the previous model
Samsung could launch the Galaxy S25 FE with the same Exynos 2400e processor used in the previous model, the Galaxy S24 FE. The information, which emerged through a recent leak, raises questions about possible performance improvements in the next version of the South Korean brand's “Fan Edition” line.
Although the Galaxy S25 FE has not yet been officially announced, the possible repetition of the processor raises questions among users who were expecting a more significant evolution. The Exynos 2400e, developed by Samsung itself, is the same processor that powers the Galaxy S24 FE, launched in October last year.
If this information is confirmed, it means that the S25 FE will not bring any relevant innovations in terms of raw power or energy efficiency, at least in terms of processor. It is important to note, however, that this information has not yet been confirmed by the brand, and therefore should be viewed with some caution.
The source of the leak, however, has a reliable track record, having accurately anticipated details about other Samsung devices, such as the Galaxy XCover7 Pro and the Galaxy Tab Active5 Pro, including their respective processors. This track record lends more weight to the speculation surrounding the S25 FE.
Samsung has consistently invested in the FE line, which aims to offer a more affordable alternative within the Galaxy line. Reusing the Exynos 2400e in the S25 FE could be seen as a strategy to keep costs under control, making the device more competitive in the mid-range segment of the market.
However, this choice may be less well received by those looking for a notable improvement over the previous model. If there are no changes to the processor, Samsung may have to bet on other areas — such as screen quality, battery life or camera features — to justify the new version.
Another relevant fact is that other devices in the same “Fan Edition” line, such as the much-talked-about Galaxy Z Flip FE (also known as Z Flip7 FE), have been associated with the same Exynos 2400e processor. Everything indicates that this will be the common basis for the FE 2025 models.
Expectations under analysis...Although the Galaxy S25 FE does not yet have an official release date, the pattern of previous years suggests that the device should be presented in the last months of 2025. Until then, more information may emerge, clarifying what to expect from this new model.
For now, rumors indicate that Samsung may be betting on continuity rather than innovation, at least when it comes to the device's internal engine. The big question is whether this will be enough to maintain user interest, especially in an increasingly demanding and competitive market.
