Pi8 McLaren Edition: a new and exclusive edition of its wireless in-ear headphones

Bowers & Wilkins today, April 8, introduced the Pi8 McLaren Edition, a new and exclusive edition of its Pi8 wireless in-ear headphones.

Developed in partnership with McLaren Automotive and the McLaren Formula 1 team, this version stands out for its specific design, which incorporates visual elements associated with the automobile brand.

The Pi8 McLaren Edition joins other products resulting from this collaboration, such as the Px8 headphones and the Zeppelin speaker, both also available in McLaren editions.

This product line seeks to combine the sound characteristics of Bowers & Wilkins with visual elements linked to the automaker and its racing team.

The new edition of the Pi8 headphones adopts a visual identity directly linked to the McLaren universe. The Pi8 McLaren Edition features a galvanic grey finish and the papaya orange details are distinctive elements of this version, reflecting the colours frequently used by the brand on its vehicles and the Formula 1 team.

Based on the original Pi8, these headphones maintain technical features focused on wireless audio reproduction and the use of selected materials for their construction and comfort.

The relationship between Bowers & Wilkins and McLaren began in 2015, initially focusing on the development of audio systems for McLaren vehicles.

The partnership was recently expanded to include the Formula 1 team, with B&W taking on the role of Official Audio Partner. This collaboration extends to the use of B&W products by F1 team members in various situations, such as travel or rest periods.

Technical cooperation is also evident in the joint development of automotive sound systems, such as the one integrated into the McLaren W1 supercar, which uses audio technology from Bowers & Wilkins.

The Pi8 McLaren Edition headphones represent another chapter in the collaboration between Bowers & Wilkins and McLaren. The product combines B&W's audio technology with an aesthetic alluding to the car brand and its F1 team.

The Pi8 McLaren Edition is available to pre-order now through McLaren retailers and specialist retailers, with a recommended retail price of €499.
