Samsung One UI 7: What's new in the new interface coming in 2025

Samsung is expected to launch One UI 7 only in early 2025 along with the Galaxy S25. The South Korean giant has been keeping the update's news a secret until now. Now, an official page of the brand has officially leaked some details about the long-awaited update.

The person who identified the details was a user on X (formerly Twitter), who soon shared the news on the social network.

What was revealed about One UI 7...Samsung's Spanish website released first-hand details about the update;

According to the page, One UI 7 will focus heavily on AI features;

New icons, a smart notification center and a new lock screen with a quick view of activities are also in the package;

Samsung also highlights that you can use artificial intelligence to transform a sketch “into an incredible image” with the “Sketch to Image” function — already available on recent Galaxy devices;

One UI 7 will bring more style options, such as 3D Cartoon, Sketch and Watercolor (a watermark will be added to the image to indicate that it was generated with AI);

With the Portrait Studio feature, AI can transform portraits into artistic profile pictures;

The Live Effects feature allows you to add more depth to photos.

Samsung is also expected to add more child safety features in One UI 7. When purchasing apps, child accounts will need permission from their parents' accounts to complete the transaction.

Which devices should receive the update to One UI 7? The mentioned features are expected to eventually make their way to the following models:

Galaxy S24 series

Galaxy S23 series

Galaxy S22 series

Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6

Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5

Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4

Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and S10 Ultra

Galaxy Tab S9, S9 Plus, and S9 Ultra

Galaxy Tab S8, S8 Plus, and S8 Ultra

Interestingly, Samsung has yet to share any official launch date. One suspicion is that the company's Spanish page "jumped the gun" by releasing information too early.
