Starlink's new antenna “will change the world”. At least, that's what SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said in a post on X (formerly Twitter) in response to another post about the product. According to Musk, it takes five minutes to configure the device.

The Starlink Mini is powered by direct current (DC), consuming an average of 20-40W. This means that a portable battery – a device also known as a power bank – with 10,000 mAh, for example, can sustain the router for just over an hour.

The new antenna measures 298.5 x 259 x 38.5mm and weighs from 1.1 kg (alone) to 1.53 kg (with 15 meter DC power cable and bracket). The device also has an IP67 rating, which means it has protection against dust and water (from rain and short periods of immersion).

In the US, Starlink Mini complements Residential plans. The Mini kit costs $599.

This gives Starlink Mini users up to 50GB of mobile data per month, with the option to buy more for $1 per GB, according to early access invitations sent to some existing Starlink customers. in the USA, according to a post on X.
