Samsung One UI 6.1: new interface is now available for cheap 5G cell phones

Samsung has updated yet another entry-level cell phone to One UI 6.1. The chosen one this time was the Galaxy A14 5G. The update was launched in the United States and is now available for the global version of the device also in countries in Asia and Africa, indicating that it is not long before its release in Brazil.

The update is around 1.7 GB and comes with new features.

However, the phone remains on the April 2024 security patch overseas.

The factory unlocked version is receiving the update with firmware A146U1UEU7DXE1.

Carrier-locked is receiving One UI 6.1 in the US with firmware A146USQU7DXE1.

Among the new features, the device launched in 2023 received improvements in photo searches and the option to copy an object from one image to another using the Gallery application. The user can also customize the A14 5G wallpaper using effects and frames, customize the lock screen clock widget using custom fonts and more. Personalized alarm alerts and reminders with emojis, images and videos are also in the package.

The weather app widget now shows more information and One UI 6.1 also has more battery health protection options.

How to check for updates on your Samsung Galaxy?...As usual, the user must navigate to the path 'Settings > Software update > Download and install'. Normally, updates are installed automatically via OTA.
