COMPUTEX 2024

Acer offers an early look at Swift 14 Lunar Lake and Ryzen AI 300 Copilot+ PCs

At Computex 2024, Acer briefly showed off two new additions to the Swift 14 Copilot+ family powered by Intel Lunar Lake and AMD Ryzen AI 300 SoCs. The chassis is identical to what we've seen previously with the Snapdragon X Elite variant, but Acer is keeping mum on specifications and pricing for now.

Acer recently launched the Swift 14 AI Copilot+ PC powered by the Snapdragon X Elite SoC. However, Intel and AMD are fast gnawing at Qualcomm's heels with Ryzen AI 300 and Lunar Lake, giving OEMs a good opportunity at product diversification. At Computex 2024, Acer unveiled Ryzen AI 300 and Lunar Lake variations of the Swift 14 AI Copilot+ laptop that will soon join its Snapdragon-powered cousin.

Acer hasn't divulged much information about the AMD and Intel variants of the new Swift 14, so we only have a first look of the laptops in flesh for the moment. Both have identical chassis with a 14-inch display that is likely to be a QHD+ 120 Hz panel, although the Ryzen AI SKU looks to be a bit thicker compared to the Lunar Lake variant.

Much like the ARM-powered Swift 14, there's an NPU logo on the top right corner of the touchpad that supposedly lights up while the NPU is active. Whether it has any tangible real-world utility beyond this is anybody's guess at this point.

There's not much information available about these new Swift 14 devices apart from this, but expect Acer to shed more light at IFA 2024.
