Comapny wants Android 14 sooner and started testing with One UI 6
Android 14 is already on the way and Samsung again wants to be one of the first brands to bring this version to their smartphones. It will do it with One UI 6 and to anticipate the processes it already has tests running with these versions. Thus, everything leads to believe that Android 14 will be even faster to reach Samsung.
One UI 6 is already in internal testing at Samsung...For a few months now, Google has Android 14 in the works. It should be made public today, during the I/O, which will take place in the late afternoon. It still won’t be the final version, but it does open the door to what should arrive later this summer.
Samsung wants to take advantage of this moment and accelerate preparations for the arrival of One UI 6, which will be based on the new version of Google’s system. The company has improved its update times and therefore has made every effort to be ready for the news.
What has now been discovered confirms the same position of the company, which wants to be one of the first to have the new Android. A test version was found on Samsung’s servers, which points to it being based on Android 14, although dedicated only to the company’s internal tests.
Android 14 updates arrive sooner on smartphones...Although it is visible, this is a version that cannot be downloaded and used by users. It also seems to be dedicated to the Galaxy S23, Samsung’s last smartphone to be released. In that same place, versions dedicated to the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 were later found.
Since they are not accessible, not much is known about these versions of One UI 6 and Android 14 if they differ from each other. Most likely, they will be adapted to each of the different screens of Samsung smartphones, especially for folding ones.
If in the current version Samsung took 2 months to have the first updates, with Android 14 this could change again. One UI 6 is expected to arrive even earlier, speeding up the entire update process and showing the company’s commitment in this field.
