Company launches WF-C700N earbuds

Sony has unveiled its latest wireless earbuds: the WF-C700N. The earplugs connect quickly via Bluetooth to your smartphone, filter out ambient noise and can be set to your preference. 

The range of wireless earbuds is growing enormously. From a few tens to more than 200 euros; there is plenty to choose from. With the new Sony WF-C700N, the manufacturer offers a total package, because there is active noise reduction and handy connection options.

The WF-C700Ns have a recognizable design and are available in four colors: black, white, green and purple. It’s an in-ear design, which means the buds go into your ears a bit. You get different rubber attachments for a good fit. The earbuds are IPX4 water resistant and can therefore withstand a light rain shower or a little sweat during exercise.

On the side of the Sony’s is a button to control media, call up the Google Assistant and switch the active noise reduction on and off. The active noise reduction reduces ambient noise. This is useful in a busy office, while studying or on the street, for example.

If you speak to someone, the earbuds automatically switch to transparency mode. This way you can hear the environment through the earbuds.

Connect, battery and charge...The earbuds connect to your devices via Bluetooth. They do this extra quickly thanks to Google Fast Pair. As soon as you open the charging case, the earbuds connect to your Android phone. Also support the WF-C700Ns multipoint, which means you connect to two devices at the same time. This means they automatically switch from, for example, your laptop to your telephone when you receive a call.

The WF-C700Ns last up to 10 hours on one battery charge, provided you turn off active noise reduction. If you do turn it on, you’ll have 7.5 hours of listening time left. You charge the earphones via the supplied case.

This provides another 7.5 hours of listening time. If your earbuds are empty, you’ll have enough battery juice for 60 minutes of music listening after 10 minutes of charging. The charging case can be charged via a USB-C cable.

Price and availability...Sony’s new earbuds have a suggested retail price of 129 euro. You order the earplugs from different providers.
