Galaxy S24: Rumors to increase RAM up to 16 GB

Fans of the series Galaxy S her Samsung they would really like to see an improvement in the amount of RAM. RAM is used for short-term memory storage and stores the operating system, photos, videos, applications and files needed to run the phone.

The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ come with 8GB of RAM, while the S23 Ultra also comes with 8GB of RAM but also has 12GB of RAM variants. Now, a tipster named Tarun Vats (who claims to be an Android technician) has tweeted some rumored specs of the models coming next year.

According to his tweet, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will be equipped with 12GB of RAM and the base units will have 256GB of storage. This would be an upgrade for the Galaxy S24, as the base version of the Galaxy S23 comes with 128GB of storage. As for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the tipster says the phone could have up to 16GB of RAM. That much memory would be offered with the 512GB and 1TB models with 12GB of RAM reserved for the 256GB variant.

We remind you that the last time Samsung equipped a non-Ultra model with 12 GB of RAM was in 2019, when the 1 TB version of the Galaxy S10+ had 12 GB of memory.
