GIGABYTE

Gigabyte Brix: the brand's new desktop computer line with a 12th generation Intel chip and DDR4-3200 memory (32 gigabytes) in the main configuration

What comes to your mind when you think of a desktop computer? The image of a large box next to a monitor screen often comes to mind. This is why consumers often prefer to buy a laptop and connect it to a monitor rather than a “big box”, as desktop computers are bulky and take up a lot of space. But that's not true for Gigabyte's new BRIX desktop computer.

The Gigabyte company put on sale a new generation of miniature personal computers from the Brix family, equipped with 12th generation Intel processors (Alder Lake-N). Users will be able to choose up to three versions of the novelty, namely the BNi3-N305, BNIP-N200 and BRIX BNIP-N100 models. The BNi3-N305 model is aimed at more demanding users as it is powered by an eight-core Intel Core i3-N305 processor. Models BNIP-N200 and BRIX BNIP-N100 are equipped with slightly less powerful quad-core Intel N200 and Intel Processor N100 processors with a power of six watts.

The new generation of Gigabyte Brix personal computers will be equipped with DDR4-3200 system memories, with a total capacity of 32 gigabytes. Furthermore, the newcomers are equipped with a wide range of connectors, namely HDMI (2.0) and DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, two Gigabit LAN connectors, USB 3.2 inputs (Type-C) and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Gigabyte's engineers have also taken great care of completely silent cooling and reliable operation.

Unfortunately, Gigabyte has yet to reveal the retail price and availability of the refurbished Brix family of compact PCs. But we believe that newcomers will be on sale soon. Let's hope they are not too expensive, because those who don't have a lot of space will gain a lot from them.
