ASRock iBOX 1300 compact computer
Not all personal computers are suitable for all environments, so among them we also find manufacturers with solutions that can cope with even the most stubborn environments. This time, however, the ASRock company has proven itself in particular, as they have prepared a special version of a miniature personal computer with the iBox 1300 label for industrial environments. One of the main advantages of the innovation is the completely passive cooling of the hardware components, as this reduces the possibility of sudden malfunctions and errors in operation. Industrial computer systems are located in very dusty environments, where active cooling often fails relatively quickly.
ASRock has prepared the iBOX 1300 model for more demanding industrial environments, which is available with three different Intel processors, namely Core i3-1315UE, Core i5-1345UE and Core i7-1365UE. Naturally, they use little electricity during operation and consequently heat up less. All three processors consume up to 15 watts of electrical power at full load. The built-in Intel Iris Xe graphics card is up to the task of more demanding graphic content.
The ASRock iBox 1300 desktop PC supports up to 64 gigabytes of DDR5-4800 system memory. Of course, we can install both a 2.5-inch hard disk and a Solid State drive here, and there is also a wide range of connectors for connecting external devices. Both the Windows 10 operating system and a Linux distribution based on Kernel 4.6 can be installed on it. The novelty can easily combine temperature loads from minus 50 degrees Celsius to plus 0 degrees Celsius, so it can be used even in the most difficult conditions. In addition, the computer measures only 172 x 109 x 50 millimeters.
