Pixel Watch now has a fall detection function

After Apple and Samsung, Google also started to activate a fall detection function in the Pixel Watch, which, like Apple's solution, uses motion sensors and algorithms to recognize if the smart watch user has suddenly fallen. However, based on the information provided by the research company, the solution will not generate a mass of false alarms, as happened recently with several Apple Watches, for example, during winter sports.

If the Watch detects a possible fall, followed by lack of movement, an alarm will sound on the display along with a message, where the user can also indicate if he is okay or ask for help immediately. If there is no reaction from him, after a minute of grace, the system contacts the emergency services and automatically calls them to the location based on your location.

The feature can be activated from the “Updates” page of the Watch Companion app on the paired phone or from the Personal Security app on the Pixel Watch.
