For modern cameras, high-capacity memory cards have long been developed. But in some cases it would be more convenient to use a solid state drive.
For such cases, Icy Dock has released the CP130 adapter, which allows you to connect the M.2 NVMe SSD to the camera or camcorder through the CFExpress slot.
The adapter allows you to easily swap one drive for another using a special mount. The designers also made sure the drives didn't overheat. The adapter has an aluminum radiator and a thermal gasket.
Of course, there are some restrictions. The adapter uses a PCIe 3.0 x2 interface, so you cannot connect PCIe 4.0 and PCIe 5.0 drives to your camera. Also, photographers will have to think about how to connect the drive to the camera, otherwise it will interfere with the workflow. You cannot call a virtue the fact that at the moment support is declared only for a dozen cameras and camcorders.
