Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra

2023 is a great year for mobile photography

We're only in the third month of 2023 and it's already clear that this is going to be a big year for the field of mobile photography. Whether we're talking about the Galaxy S23 Ultra's 200MP sensor, the Vivo X90 Pro's 1-inch sensor, or the excellent performance of the Xiaomi 13 Pro's telephoto portrait lens, there's a lot to be excited about.

Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra...16-in-1 pixel binning technology, a 1/1.3-inch sensor and an f/1.7 aperture work together to make a huge leap forward in low-light photography without making your photos appear unnaturally lit.

If we compare it to the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which was very photographically capable, we notice more detail, better color accuracy and more light, giving you the ability to take really impressive photos in low light.

The 200 MP camera, combined with the ultra-wide and multi-zoom lens, offers an undeniably versatile camera setup.

Vivo X90 Pro...The smartphone uses its impressive 1-inch 50.3 MP main camera sensor to capture an almost unbelievable amount of light, even in extremely low light conditions, with Vivo claiming that it can capture photos in environments with less than 1 lux of light.

Xiaomi 13 Pro...The newly announced Xiaomi 13 Pro also features a large 1-inch sensor, although it focuses more on capturing images closer to what we see with the naked eye for much more natural results.

The performance of the 3.2x 50MP telephoto lens really stands out. It features technologies like Xiaomi's Focal Shift, OIS, and a "floating" lens design that lets you keep your subject in focus even as you zoom in or out. It can deliver amazing portraits with stunning detail, natural bokeh and some of the best edge detection technology.
