MAKITA

Makita revela o forno de microondas sem fio

Famous tool maker launches cordless microwave oven

Makita, famous for its screwdrivers and other construction equipment, has introduced an unusual product in its own right: a cordless microwave oven.

The Makita oven has an internal volume of eight liters. It is reported that one battery charge is enough to heat about 11 servings of food or 20 drinks of 200 ml. You can charge other gadgets from the microwave - a USB-A port is provided.

The device weighs 8.8 kg (excluding XGT 40V Max 8Ah removable batteries). To charge the microwave, there is a handle on the upper part of the body and a handle attached to it. All controls are also on top of the microwave. The Makita microwave can provide between 350 and 500 watts of power.

The main question is: who needs it? The company says that the device will come in handy when there is no access to power. For example, in places of natural disasters, on construction sites or on a long car journey. And at home, such a stove can also be used in some situations, for example, if the electricity is cut off.

At the moment, you can buy a Makita microwave oven only in Japan and the price is 71,500 yen or about US$540.
